Trinity School has remained consistent through the years in its approach to the teaching of reading.  We are unaffected by the cycle of trends and fads that vacillate between phonics and whole language based approaches.   We believe that phonics has proven itself a powerful tool to teach decoding strategies and use phonics textbooks through grade four.
