"Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it." (Revelation 1:3).  The scriptures need to be learned 'by heart' so that we can have them on our minds constantly.  

Trinity Lutheran School requires students to learn many crucial passages of scripture 'by heart,' as well as Luther's explanations to the Ten Commandments, Apostles Creed, Lord's Prayer, Holy Baptism, and the Office of the Keys.
